As the name suggests this article holds a bit of dark cynicism, deception, and uncertainty. I wanted to convey this aura within my work. In many cultures dark and red colors have an undertone of insecurity and when combine in a muted hue it creates a feeling of uncertainty. In the article “The Unravelling of an Expert on Serial Killers” it talks about the lies of Bourgoin as a seemingly never-ending hallway of doors and when you open one door another hallway lies beyond. That key phrase inspired the subject of this art work. The man walking down the hall has an eye on his back representing the Facebook group the 4’eme who took on the monumental task of trying to decode the never-ending hall of lies.
